I was this years old when I learned that all the historic buildings on Euros are fake, just like the E.U.

I actually really like that idea. It's pretty interesting.

It’s honestly probably a waste in resources to make 0 euro notes since the program has to be centrally managed and they all get security features. I still find it interesting and cool.

I wonder how difficult it is to create all those designs and distribute them compared to the standard Euro notes that have a larger distribution network but have only a few basic variations for different denominations of money.

They’re just souvenirs for tourists and collectors, like silver spoons or beer steins. The fact that they’re made exactly like the real banknotes, with security features and all, is what makes them desirable to those buyers, since anyone can just print a colorful piece of paper with an interesting design on it.

Because it’s based on a mass produced product it cost less and makes something that will be durable and that has a real value, not just some random printed Monopoly notes.

Some are limited edition made for special occasions and have value to collectors.
